〇あらすじ
江戸時代初期、肥後の山に竹野村と立岩村という二つの村があった。
竹野村は山で捕れた獣肉や竹細工を町で売り豊かな村になった。しかし竹野村よりも山奥にある立岩村はそうではない。
町に続く通りを立岩村の者に使わせなかったため、立岩村の者が商売をするには山を大きく遠回りして四日ほどかけて町へ行かねばならなかった。

ある日、竹野村の亀吉は山の中で美しい娘を見つけた。
娘は目が見えず耳も聞こえず、おまけに知的障害もあるようだった。それをいいことに亀吉はその場で強○し、自分の村に連れて帰った。

食うに困らない程度に豊かとはいえ山奥で若い娘も少ない村のこと　
他所から連れてこられた口もきけない少女は、竹野村の男たちにとって格好の慰みものになった。

地獄のような日々の果て、少女の恐るべき秘密が明らかになる。
